Park View Manor, located at 5016 – 52 Avenue in Wabamun, AB, offers affordable housing for seniors in a peaceful, community-oriented environment. The row housing style includes private entrances for each unit, providing a sense of independence and comfort. The building features 4 one-bedroom suites (700 ft²) and 2 two-bedroom suites (950 ft²), ideal for couples. Each unit includes in-suite laundry and parking for added convenience.

Are there laundry facilities available?
A:
All units come with an in-suite HE washer and dryer for resident use.
Q:
What are the room dimensions?
A:
The one-bedroom units are approximately 700 ft². The two-bedroom units are approximately 950 ft².
Q:
How long do I wait once I apply?
A:
Once you have submitted your application and supporting documentation, your application will be priority-rated and added to our waiting lists. We cannot estimate or guarantee wait times as it is based on priority ratings (not ‘first-come-first-serve’) and lists may fluctuate.
Q:
Do you allow pets?
A:
Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in any of our Buildings. “Visiting” pets are welcome but long-term/overnight visits are not allowed.
Q:
Do you allow smoking?
A:
As per Provincial Government legislation, all our buildings are smoke-free and smoking is not allowed in any of our units. This includes cannabis smoke and vaping. The growth of cannabis plants is also prohibited in Meridian Housing Foundation buildings.
Q:
Is parking available, such as underground or covered parking?
A:
There is one parking space available per unit. All parking spaces have electrical plug-ins which are connected to the unit’s electricity.

Are there any deposits required?
A:
Yes, the security deposit is the equivalent of one month’s rent.

Are utilities included in the rent?
A:
Heat, water/sewage, and garbage collection are included in the rent. The resident is responsible for electricity/power.

Are TV, Internet, and Telephone services included in the rent?
A:
TV, internet, and telephone services are the responsibility of the resident. Please note that cable television is not available in Wabamun. Park View Manor provides access to a shared Telus Satellite dish for all residents. The installation of additional satellite dishes is not permitted. You are responsible for connecting, disconnecting, and paying for your own services.

What will my rent be?
A:
Effective January 2025, the affordable housing rental rates for Park View Manor are $755.00 (one-bedroom) and $925.00 (two-bedroom).
Q:
May I apply if I am not yet 65 years old?
A:
Applicants for Park View Manor must be 65 years of age or over. Exceptions are made for couples in which at least one is 65 years or older.
Q:
Do you provide accommodation for couples?
A:
Our Affordable Housing building, Park View Manor, offers both one-bedroom and two-bedroom units.
