You must provide all your own furniture in your suite. All furniture should be clean and in good repair. The amount/size of the furniture must not constitute a safety, fire, health, or housekeeping hazard.

All units must be approved by Meridian Housing Foundation management prior to installation. You will be invoiced for an additional surcharge of $60 per year.

Once you have submitted your application and supporting documentation, your application will be priority rated and added to our waiting lists. We cannot estimate or guarantee wait times as it is based on priority ratings (not ‘first-come first-serve’) and lists may fluctuate.

Friends, family, and community members are always welcome in the lodge. A monthly event calendar is available from our Activities Coordinator. There are also special functions such as barbeques and seasonal parties throughout the year, to which we make an extra special effort to include the family and friends of our residents. Residents in our apartments are also able to take part in Lodge events.

As per Provincial Government legislation, all our buildings are smoke-free and smoking is not allowed in any resident rooms or common areas. This includes cannabis and vaping. Cigarette smoking is only allowed in the designated smoking room located in Whispering Waters Manor. The growth of cannabis plants is also prohibited in Meridian Housing Foundation buildings.

Residents are allowed to use the common laundry room available on the second floor. Machine use is free. Residents must supply their own HE Laundry soap and laundry supplies. Personal Laundry services are available for a cost of $50/month per person for personal laundry. Linen Laundry Services (Bed, Towels, etc.) are available for an additional $50/month per unit. (single and couple)

Unfortunately, pets are not allowed in any resident rooms in the Lodge. Visiting pets are welcome but long-term/overnight visits are not allowed.

Limited parking spaces with electrical plug-ins are available for a monthly fee for residents who have a vehicle and a valid driver’s license. There are no underground or covered parking areas. Limited indoor scooter parking is also available.

A security deposit of one month’s rent is required. In addition, a $100 security deposit is required for our medi-pendant system.

Accommodations may be made for diabetic meals and doctor-confirmed allergies such as celiac. However, no other specialty diets can be accommodated. Residents may choose what they would like to eat based on the available options for each meal.

You can choose to purchase additional meals of breakfast, supper, or both.

Our comprehensive service package includes one mid-day meal and three snacks, weekly light room cleaning, Emergency Medi-Pendant, Emergency call bell in residents’ suite, 24-hour non-medical staff, recreational programming, and utilities.

Forest Ridge Place has bulk cable set up for all units. An extra, mandatory charge is added to your rent for this service. Telephone and internet services are the responsibility of the resident. You can choose from any service providers available. There are existing telephone lines to each room and you are responsible for connecting, disconnecting, and paying for your own services.

Your monthly rent is calculated based on 30% of your household's annual income (found on line 15000 of your most recent Notice of Assessment), with a maximum limit determined by your income level. In addition to the monthly rent, a mandatory cable fee and service package fee are included, which covers three daily meals, three daily snacks, utilities, light housekeeping, linen service, activities, access to all common areas and recreational spaces, 24-hour non-medical staffing, nightly checks, and cable television in your room. If your household has an annual income of $34,770 or less, your subsidized rent will be no higher than $650 per month. If your household has an annual income between $34,771 and $43,500, you will pay no higher than $700 per month. If it's between $43,501 and $69,540, you will pay no higher than $800 per month. Households with an annual income of $69,541 and over will pay no higher than $900 per month. Every resident is required to purchase a monthly service package. The cost of the service package is $1,000 per month for a studio suite, and $1,350 per month for a one-bedroom. The monthly cost of cable television is $42.

Applicants must be 65 years or older.

Our bachelor suites are approximately 368 ft². Each suite features a kitchenette with a mini-fridge and microwave, two spacious closets, and a bathroom with a walk-in shower. Our one-bedroom suites are approximately 500 ft².

Forest Ridge Place has limited one-bedroom suites that are reserved for couples.
